On June 26, 1948 in La Porte at St. Joseph Church, she married Vincent R. Kanney. Katherine was a graduate of La Porte High School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She loved to paint, read and watch old TV shows. She especially enjoyed sharing her home with her youngest son, Rich and their cats. Katherine loved the simple things in life. In her younger years, she could crank out a good polka on her accordion as well
