SOUTH BEND - Rita A. Kruszewski, 79, passed away at 7:10 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, in the Sanctuary at St. Joseph. Survivors include her sister, Evelyn (Frank) Gerbasich; nieces, Amy (Rick) Bognar, Joyce (Shannon) Kling, Yvonne (Dick) Lentz and Dianne (Randy) Ritchard; and nephews, Marc (Karen) Gerbasich and Paul (Mary Eleanor) Gerbasich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 10 a.m. in St. Casimir Church. Visitation will be held in the church from 9-10 a.m., and one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.

SOUTH BEND - Rita A. Kruszewski, 79, passed away at 7:10 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23rd, in the Sanctuary at St. Joseph. Rita was born on July 7, 1929, in South Bend, to Alexander and Antoinette (Duszynski) Kruszewski. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond and Daniel; and by a nephew, Raymond Kruszewski Jr. Surviving Rita are a sister, Evelyn (Frank) Gerbasich of South Bend; nieces, Amy (Rick) Bognar, Joyce (Shannon) Kling, Yvonne (Dick) Lentz and Dianne (Randy) Ritchard of South Bend; and nephews, Marc (Karen) Gerbasich of South Bend and Paul (Mary Eleanor) Gerbasich of Sellersburg, IN. Rita worked all her life as a librarian in the South Bend area. She belonged to St. Casimir's Church and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, in St. Casimir Church, with visitation one hour prior in the church. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, is assisting the family. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Greater Midwest Affiliate, Memorial and Tributes Lockbox, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674.
