Mrs. Mary L. Jablonski, 93, of LaPorte, died at 4:20 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Golden Living Center-Fountianview, LaPorte. She was born Sept. 6, 1917, in LaPorte to Frank and Sophie Belzowski. Mrs. Jablonski was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, LaPorte. On April 13, 1940, in LaPorte, she married John Jablonski, who preceded her in death on April 1, 1992. Also preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers, Walter, Michael, Emil and Ted Belzowski; and two sisters, Rose Hauck and Nellie Lynn. She leaves behind two sons, William F. (Nancy) Jablonski and John J. (Debbie) Jablonski, both of LaPorte; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Kathryn (Vincent) Kanney of LaPorte; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held Monday, March 7, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, LaPorte, with Rev. Ian Williams officiating. Visitation will be held at Essling Funeral Home, LaPorte, on Sunday, March 6, from 3 to 6 p.m. and Monday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. A prayer service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Building Fund, 130 Bach St., LaPorte, IN 46350.
