SOUTH BEND - Elaine D. Marshall, 81, making her home with her daughter in Mishawaka, passed away at 4 a.m. Sunday, October 26 in Holy Cross Health Care Center, South Bend. Elaine was born on February 15, 1927 in South Bend,, to Stephen and Lillian (Pielach) Gasko. Preceding her in death were both of her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Eleanore and Roy Bennett; a brother, Edward Gasko and friend, Robert Grannell. Survivors include her bother and sister-in-law, Bernard and Lucille Gasko; and her six children, Kathleen Marshall, Dennis (Cindy) Marshall, Cheri (Carl) Baushke, Sonya (John) Marshall, Rebecca (Charles) Cox and Michael Marshall. Elaine is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her good friends, Vicky Bidlack. Elaine is much loved by her family and friends and she will be dearly missed. A special note of thanks is due the kind folks at the Holy Cross Health Care Center. Elkhart Cremation Services will be assisting the family with cremation. At Elaine's request there will be no services or visitation.
