[N24518] Ann Dorothy Locasto
nee Glibota
1923 - 2020

Ann Dorothy, 96, of Niles, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020, at the West Woods Skilled Nursing Home in Niles. Ann was born on August 2, 1923, in Duluth, Minnesota, to the late Matthew and Jerica (Bonacih) Glibota. After graduating from high school, Ann went on to receive a secretarial certificate and worked as a legal secretary for many years. On May 21, 1950, she wed Anthony Locasto. In her free time, Ann loved to read, work the New York Times crossword puzzle, and care for her cats. Ann’s family was what mattered the most to her. Her wise counsel, her humor, and deep love will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anthony; her eight brothers and sisters; grandson Eric; two nieces, and a nephew. Ann is survived by her daughter, Janice Stutz; granddaughter, Janna Cross; great-grandson, Julian Feingold-Cross; many nieces and nephews; and friends who were like family. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private, family celebration of life service will be held later, Ann will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville Indiana. Memorial contributions in her memory may be directed to Hospice at Home.
