MISHAWAKA - Barbara J. Drajus, 66, of Mishawaka, died Friday, October 7, 2016, at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. The South Bend native was born April 17, 1950, to Chester & Florence (Kolczynski) Turza, who have both preceded her in death. Barbara retired as an LPN and over the course of her career had worked for Nephrology, Inc, Memorial Hospital of South Bend and St. Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka. In addition to her parents, Barbara was also preceded by her husband, Bert Drajus, on March 14, 2007. She is survived by her sons, James (Mary) Young, Jr. of LaPorte and Jeff (Heather) Young of Mishawaka; her daughter, Heidi (Michael) Else of Indianapolis; stepdaughter, Vickie Breden of South Bend; grandchildren, Jeffrey Young, Jr., Austin Young, Elizabeth Young and Easton Else; sister, Patricia Cosenza of Mishawaka, and her brother, Thomas (Kathleen) Turza of Louisville KY. Committal services will be held at 11:00 Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 10776 McKinley Hwy. The family's preferred memorial is Hubbard Hill Retirement Community, 28070 CR 24W, Elkhart, IN 46517.
