SOUTH BEND - Genevieve C. Kaczmarek, 92, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 4:10 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2014, at The Hearth at Juday Creek in Granger, IN. She was born on March 26, 1921, to the late Stanley Sr. and Isabell (Campbell) Przestwor in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident. Along with her parents, two sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death. Genevieve graduated with the first class of Washington High School in 1938. Mrs. Kaczmarek worked for 27 years at Studebaker until they closed. She then worked for 15 years in Accounts Receivable at Coca Cola Company, before retiring in 1988. Following retirement, Genevieve worked part-time at G.L. Perry Variety Store on State Road 23 in South Bend. As Genevieve Przestwor, she married Louis Czarnecki in 1939. He passed away in 1943. She later married Marion Kaczmarek in 1946. He passed away in 1975. Genevieve is survived by her two sons, Donald (Sherrill) Czarnecki of Granbury, TX, and Michael Kaczmarek of South Bend, IN; two grandsons, Randy (Ginny) Czarnecki of Paoli, OK, and Phillip Czarnecki of Granbury, TX; three great-grandchildren, Ahsleigh, Hannah and Morgan Czarnecki, all of Paoli, OK; and several nieces & nephews. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Wednesday at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
