SOUTH BEND - George J. Guzicki, 86, passed away at 5:10 am on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, in Kindred Transitional Care, South Bend. George was born on January 22, 1925, to the late John and Anna (Sroda) Guzicki. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Irene Weil; and brother, Leo Guzicki. On June 30, 1951, he married Rita (Przybysz), who survives along with their son, Gregory Guzicki of South Bend; two sisters, Joan Dudzinski of South Bend and Loretta (Lloyd) Heiser of South Bend; and by several nieces and nephews. George retired from RACO in 1990. He enjoyed fishing and loved to go fishing at Rice Lake near Toronto, Canada. George was known as the "Crumstown Poet"; he had a unique sense of humor with his double talk. He was a parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Family and friends may gather from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, September 22, 2011, in St. Adalbert Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, is assisting the family. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
