BREMEN - Herman "Jack' Hueni, 70, died at 6:26 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, of natural causes. He was born July 17, 1937, in South Bend to the late Herman J. and Rosena (Zimmer) Hueni. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kristi. He was director of administration at Bremen Castings before retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Nappanee Missionary Church, member of Men for Missions, 1955 graduate of Bremen High School, 1960 graduate of Indiana University, member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity, served in the US Army Reserves. On Aug. 20, 1960, he married Marlene Schweisberger and she survives. Survivors include his wife, Marlene; daughter, Michelle (Ron) Grove of Bremen; son, Micah Hueni of Bremen; granddaughters, Lindsey and Bethany Grove of Bremen and Lana Hueni of Bremen; and brothers, Robert (Letty) Hueni of Bremen and Herbert (Phyllis) Hueni of Osceola. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Nappanee Missionary Church, with Pastor Dave Engbrecht officiating. Burial will be at Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Mishler Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nappanee Missionary Church, 70417 St. Rd. 19, Nappanee, IN 46550, or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 941 E. 8th St., Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
