LAKEVILLE - Ronald John Jagnecki, 74 years old, passed away unexpectedly at 4:25 a.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, IN. Mr. Jagnecki was born on December 2, 1940 in South Bend, IN to the late John and Alvina (Jaronik) Jagnecki. He has remained a lifelong area resident. On May 21, 1966 in South Bend, Ron was united in marriage to Sandra L. Merritt who survives. Along with his loving wife of 49 years, Sandra, survivor include their three children; Wendy Norem of Plymouth, Jeff (Amy) Jagnecki of Plymouth, and Rodney (Vicky) Jagnecki of Plymouth; six grandchildren, Jeffrey (Meagan) Jagnecki, II, Jamie Jagnecki, Trey Norem, Paige Norem, Peyton Norem, and Jacob Jagnecki; and two sisters, Carolyn (William) Raab of South Bend and Marcia (Terry) Kroll of South Bend. Mr. Jagnecki was a machinist for 43 years and retired in 2001 after 17 years as a tool and die maker and designer for Honeywell Corporation. He was a faithful member of the Plymouth Baptist Church. Ron enjoyed bowling, fishing, woodworking, yardwork and target practice with his guns. He also enjoyed coaching the travel sports leagues with his children. Ron was a member of ZB Falcons. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Plymouth Baptist Church, 11345 9A Road, Plymouth, IN. Pastor Clark Harless will officiate. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to services on Monday at the church. Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ronald J. Jagnecki may be donated to the Plymouth Baptist Church, 11345 9A Road, Plymouth, IN 46563.
