Lorrie Jean Rainero, 52, of South Bend, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2020 at Memorial Hospital. She was born March 7, 1969 to the late William and Christie (Kacin) Rainero. Lorrie was a homemaker, a loving daughter, devoted mother and dedicated grandmother. Her grandchildren all affectionately referred to her as their "Mimi"; they were her whole world and she never stopped thinking about them. She was brave and showed so much strength throughout her lifetime, even when it was not easy. She touched so many lives in many ways and will be greatly missed by those who loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Kerri E. (Karl) Kacynski of Mishawaka; son, Kevin M. Grogan of South Bend; granddaughter,Topanga; grandsons, Jacoby, Zachary and Hendricks (due in July). Along with her parents, Lorrie was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Rainero. There will be no services at this time for Lorrie. The family will gather privately at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home-Bubb Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions in Lorrie's honor may be given to Center for the Homeless, 813 S.
