On June 22, 2022, Sabine Richey, beloved wife and mother to three, passed away at the age of 52. Sabine was born on February 25, 1970 in Bremen, Germany, to Helmut and Renate Cordes. She was the eldest of three siblings, her brothers Bernd and Peter. On January 16, 1990, Sabine married Larry Lee Richey II and together raised three children: Jessica (30), Luke (23), and Andrea (20). People were drawn to Sabine’s fierce spirit and warm heart, and she made lifelong friends everywhere. Sabine was a strong advocate for kindness and justice and a foundation of strength. For the past 20 years, Sabine worked in healthcare as a pharmacy technician and then as a caregiver, always putting her best foot forward. Her success as Client Service Coordinator at Always Best Care is a shining example of her great work ethic and desire to help others. Sabine is survived by her husband, Larry; three children, Jessica (Jeffrey), Luke, and Andrea; father and mother, Helmut and Renate; two brothers, Bernd (Tanja) and Peter; brother-in-law, David; niece, Hanna; and nephews, Jon, Daniel, and Jonah. Funeral services for Sabine will be held at 6:00pm on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN. Pastor Rachel Ross will officiate.
