Geraldine “Geri” May Ulrich, 85 passed away at St Joseph Medical Center on Sunday, February 28, 2016 after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of South Bend, IN. Geri was born October 18, 1930 to the late Joseph and Dorothy Kober and had two sisters, who preceded her in death; Winifred “Winnie” (Kasmir) Kosik and Virginia “Ginny” (Eugene) Glod.Geri was married to Norman Ulrich, who preceded her in death, and has three surviving children Victoria (Jerry) Lisenko, Valerie Tillman, and John (Alex) Ulrich-Wahl. A daughter, Deborah (Mike) Humpley also preceded her in death. Geri had six grandchildren (Justin, Kris, Josh, Cody, Sean and Katie); seven great-grandchildren (Kory, Karter, Kristopher, Rhiannon, Kiera, Evelyn, and Arah). Early in her life, she enjoyed spending time with her kids and sisters and later watching her beloved Yankees, doing puzzles and watching old movies. In keeping with Geri’s wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shiners Hospital for Children, 2211 N. Oak Park Avenue; Chicago, IL 60707-3392 and Paralyzed Veterans of America; National Headquarters, 801 Eighteenth Street, NW, Washington, DC 20006-3517. Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
