SOUTH BEND - Clement A. Cwidak, 88, died at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday in Hospice House. Survivors include his children, Barbara (John) Witucki, Sharon (Arthur) Amadore, Debbie (Dante) Pola, Allen Cwidak, Kenneth (Clarice) Cwidak and Jeffrey (Heidi) Cwidak. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Casimir Catholic Church. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m., and one hour before services in the church.

SOUTH BEND - Clement A. Cwidak, 88, died at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday in Hospice House. Clement was born on April 19, 1921, in South Bend, to the late John and Josephine (Wolter) Cwidak. On September 6, 1941, Clement married Alice (Pionstka), who passed away on January 21, 1992. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Marie Radecki, and by his four brothers, Aloysius, Walter, Leo and Theophil. He is survived by his six children, Barbara (John) Witucki of South Bend, Sharon (Arthur) Amador of Lafayette, IN, Debbie (Dante) Pola of Cassopolis, MI, Allen (Carol) Cwidak of South Bend, Kenneth (Clarice) Cwidak of South Bend and Jeffrey (Heidi) Cwidak of South Bend; 23 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and by his three sisters, Lillian Andrysiak of South Bend, Clara Wendowski of Columbus, IN, and Irene Nemeth of South Bend. Clement honorably served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was a member of the American Legion. He was a parishioner of St. Casimir Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, April 30th, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 1st, at 10 a.m. in St. Casimir Catholic Church; friends and family may gather one hour prior to the services in the church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice. For those who are unable to attend the funeral liturgy, condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
