SOUTH BEND - Barbara J. “Pinky” Noble, 80, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 in her home. Barbara was born on June 21, 1936 in South Bend to Nicholas and Agnes (Tobolski) Pinkowski, and was a lifelong resident. On October 6, 1956, in Holy Cross Church, she married Kenneth G. Noble, Sr., who preceded her in death on January 8, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her son, Kenneth G. Noble, Jr.; her brother, Thomas Palmer; and her parents, Nicholas and Agnes Pinkowski. Barbara is survived by her son, Chris (Robin) Noble of South Bend, Indiana; her daughter-in-law, Patty Noble of South Bend, Indiana; four grandchildren, Christopher (Amy) Noble, Jr., Nicholas (Lindsay) Noble, Tara (Ryan) Takacs, and Kayla (Drew Niedbala) Noble; six great-grandchildren, Gracie, Tyler, Payton, Kennedy, Nolan and Hudson; and one great-grandchild “on the way”; her brother, James Pinkowski of South Bend, Indiana; and her sister-in-law, Lucille Pinkowski of Tucson, Arizona. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in Corpus Christi Church. A Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Barbara was an active member of Corpus Christi Parish. She was also a member of the Sigma Alpha Sorority and Elbel Ladies Golf Group. Memorial contributions may be directed to Corpus Christi Church or the Center for Hospice Care, Inc. It really bothered us knowing you were alone, no matter what we tried we knew your heart was broken, and now we truly believe you are no longer alone.
