SOUTH BEND - Judith Ann (Slane) Heyde, 70, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 6th, in her residence with her loving family at her side. Judith was born on May 23, 1944, in Mishawaka, IN, to the late Charles A. and Doris (Emmert) Slane. On November 21, 1975 in South Bend, IN, she married Richard C. Heyde who survives. She is also survived by one daughter: Crysta M. (Bob) Spychalski, Jr. of Germany, two sons: Jeffery A. (Penny) Krieg of Plymouth and Gregory C. (Katie) Krieg of Mishawaka, one sister: Char (Henry) Lewis of Argos, IN, one brother: Donovan J. (Jane) Slane of Osceola, one half-brother: Chuck Slane of Plymouth, nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her loving family, numerous friends, her former co-workers and all who knew her during her life's journey. Judith retired from Indiana-Michigan Power Company where she worked as an Administrative Secretary. She was member of the WBCCI Air Stream Club. She enjoyed gardening, reading, camping and spending time with her family. Visitation hours will be Friday, July 11th from 4:00 PM 8:00 PM at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home "Southwest Chapel" located at 23421 State Road 23 / West Ireland Road South Bend. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 12th in the funeral home with Rev. Tom Thews officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth, IN. The family requests that all memorial contributions be made to the St. Joseph County Humane Society, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
