MISHAWAKA - Sophia P. Roggeman, 87, of 309 E. Lawrence St., died at 8:30 p.m. Friday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Mrs. Roggeman was born Feb. 1, 1907, in Mishawaka, and was a lifelong area resident. On Oct. 29, 1925, in Mishawaka, as Sophia P. Barth, she married George J. Roggeman. He died Oct. 5, 1974. She is survived by three daughters, Virginia Dylejko of Mishawaka, Jean Dolde of West Bend, Wis., and Georgiann Gierkey of Dallas; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Gertrude Kann of Middleville, Mich., and Lillian Gleissner of Decatur. She was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church and the Ladies Firemen's Auxiliary. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., where a wake will be at 3:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
