Francis H. Zgodzinski, 86, of Sudbury Court, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center.

He was born on Dec. 12, 1916, in South Bend, to Leo and Josephine (VanHolsbeke) Zgodzinski, who preceded him in death.

On Oct. 9, 1948, in South Bend, he married Mary Ann Geissler, who survives him. He is also survived by two sisters, Dorathea (James) Felder and Betty (Joseph) Durkin, all of South Bend; and by four nieces and two nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.

Francis was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army overseas during World War II. He belonged to St. Patrick Catholic Church. Francis retired from Studebaker.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 1827 E. Ireland Road, where a Rosary will be said at 1:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, in the funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
