Karen M. (Stevens) Meuninck quietly passed away at her family's home in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin on August 11th, 2022. Karen was an artist known for her beautiful and intricate ink and colored pencil drawings, willow sculptures, fiber artworks, and clothing designs. She was raised in Hagerstown, Indiana, where she lived with her parents, Vaughn and Virginia (Bogue) Stevens and older siblings, Sharon A. (Stevens-Billhymer) Shank and Charles D. Stevens. A graduate of Hagerstown High School, Karen attended Ball State Teachers College in Muncie, Indiana where she met her husband Thomas C. Meuninck (who preceded her in death in 2019). Karen and Tom were proud, passionate, and dedicated public educators and exhibiting artists in the 'Michiana' area. Following her tenure teaching in the k-12 educational system, Karen taught Visual Communications at Ivy Tech Community College in South Bend, Indiana. After teaching, she pursued her interests in buying and selling antiques. Karen had a remarkable eye for fashion, contemporary art, vintage design, and unique collectables. She was sharp-witted, full of character, a diligent, thoughtful, and loving mother to both of her children, and a dedicated friend to many. She will be missed. Surviving are her children, Tyler S. Meuninck and Jessica S. Meuninck-Ganger, son-in-law, Jeff L. Ganger, grandson, Isaac S. Ganger, in-laws, Martha J. (Janey) Stevens, James A. Meuninck, Jill (Blue) Meuninck, Doug W. Eichorst, Judith A. Eichorst, and nieces and nephews.
