SOUTH BEND - Frank L. Wieczorek, 93, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 in the West Bend Nursing Facility. Frank was born July 24, 1921 in South Bend to the late Casimir and Helen (Stempien) Wierczorek. Frank is also preceded in death by his brothers, Bert and Chester Wierczorek; and sisters, Mary Kalka and Veronica Dzialakiewicz. Survivors of Frank include his wife, Dorothy Wieczorek of South Bend; son, Philip Wieczorek of South Bend; grandsons, P. Scott (Kim) Wieczorek of South Bend, and Todd Wieczorek of London, Ontario; and great-grandchildren, Alex, Bryce, and Connor of South Bend and Annabelle of London, Ontario. Frank honorably served his country in the United States Army. He belonged to Anchor Conservation Club. He was employed with the Studebaker Corporation until closing and then retired in 1986 from the South Bend School Corporation after 20 years of service. Frank also was a member of the American Legion Post 357. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. is assisting the family. No viewing or service will take place.
