SOUTH BEND - Agnes H. Jenczewski, 99, passed away July 13, 2016 in her home with her family by her side. Agnes was born July 27, 1916 in South Bend to the late Jacob and Susan (Giak) Sobczyk. On September 19, 1940 Agnes married her loving husband, Stanley C. Jenczewski, who preceded her in death on November 13, 1998. Agnes was also preceded in death by her brothers, Venceslaus and Joseph Sobczyk; and sisters, Mary Gawenda, Helen Boldys, and Alice Prentkowski. Survivors of Agnes include her daughters, Lorraine (Gerard) Sieradzki of South Bend, Joan (Frank) Perusek of Granger and Evelyn (Dennis) Horvath of Buchanan, MI; granddaughters, Michelle (Christian) Elmerick, Janet (Jeff) Crabtree and Jennifer (Joshua) Perusek-Scheller; great- grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Cassidy, Matthew, and Zachary Elmerick, Dylan, Brenden, and Carly Crabtree; and several nieces and nephews. Agnes worked at Wilson Brothers as an inspector. She was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church Altar & Rosary Society, and Senior Citizens Club. Agnes loved babysitting her granddaughters and great grandchildren, who called her ‘Grandma Busia'. She also loved crocheting, playing cards, spending time at Gravel Lake, watching The Price is Right, and cherished having her family in her home for holiday celebrations. Agnes was not only a great woman in every way; she was also an amazing friend, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Agnes always did for others and put others before herself. She was a very special lady, and was loved very much, she will be truly missed. A special thanks to Rose Ann for her weekly caregiving and card playing. Visitation for Agnes is 2:00pm to 7:00pm Sunday, July 17, 2016 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Rosary to be prayed at 5:00pm. A Traditional Latin Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am Monday, July 18, 2016 at St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Catholic Church, 415 N. Brookfield St, South Bend, IN with Msgr. John Fritz, F.S.S.P. officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr Catholic Church, 415 N.
