Lorraine J. Levan, 72, of State Road 23, South Bend, passed away at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, at her residence. Lorraine was born on January 3, 1930, to Joseph and Helen (Wasowski) Steinke in South Bend who preceded her in death. On October 8, 1949 Lorraine married Ted Levan Jr., who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Thomas Levan of Bloomfield, Colorado, Gregory Levan of Orlando, Florida, Brian Levan of Granger, IN; three grandchildren, Michael, Joshua and Kaitlyn; and a sister, Leona Morris of South Bend. Lorraine was a homemaker, lived in South Bend all her life, and was a member of Z.B. Falcons and St. Casimir Catholic Church. Family and friends may call today, October 14 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where there will be a rosary said at 4:00 p.m. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at St. Casimir Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Jospeh Cemetery, South Bend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice House of St. Joseph County.
