SOUTH BEND - Verna H. Dzialakiewicz, 84, died Thursday, Aug. 28 at 12:35 p.m. in Memorial Hospital. Survivors include her two children, Judy (Jim) Messner of Elkhart and Al (Jackie) Dzialakiewicz of South Bend; four grandchildren, Paul Dzialakiewicz of Mishawaka, Ryan Dzialakiewicz of Elkhart, Kim (Leigh) Elliott of Plymouth and Todd Messner of Elkhart; and by her brother, Frank Wieczorek of South Bend. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2 in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Adalbert Catholic Church at 11 a.m.

SOUTH BEND - Verna H. Dzialakiewicz, 84, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 28th, at 12:35 p.m. in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Verna was born on January 27, 1924, in South Bend, to the late Casmier and Helen (Stempin) Wieczorek. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John; two brothers, Chet and Bert Wieczorek; and a sister, Mary Kalka. Verna is survived by her two children, Judy (Jim) Messner of Elkhart and Al (Jackie) Dzialakiewicz of South Bend; four grandchildren, Paul Dzialakiewicz of Mishawaka, Ryan Dzialakiewicz of Elkhart, Kim (Leigh) Elliott of Plymouth and Todd Messner of Elkhart; a great-grandchild, Peighton Elliott; and by her brother, Frank Wieczorek of South Bend. Verna worked for RACO and was a member of American Legion Post 357 Women's Auxiliary. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved dancing and going out with her girlfriends. Verna enjoyed life! She will be greatly missed by all of her family. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2nd, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Adalbert Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Garden, St. Joseph Cemetery.
