SOUTH BEND - Regina Agnes Sniadecki, 90, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014, in her residence. Regina was born October 6, 1924, in New Carlisle, to the late Stanaslas and Julia (Bartoszewicz) Zielewski. On July 27, 1946, Regina married Edward Sniadecki who preceded her in death September 20, 2005. She is also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Nancy Sniadecki; brothers, Clem, Bert, Stanley, Sylvester; and sisters, Sophie, and Mary. Survivors of Regina include her children, Joyce (Fabian) Chavez, Edward (Gerry) Sniadecki, Bill (Rose) Sniadecki, Larry Sniadecki, and Rod (Caterina) Sniadecki; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was affectionately known as Auntie Jeanie to all her nieces and nephews. Regina was a parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing euchre, dining out, shopping and sitting on the front porch with her husband. She enjoyed cooking and expected everyone to have a second or third serving; no one should leave the table hungry. Most of all Regina loved singing "You are my Sunshine" to her family and loved them "a bushel and a peck". Visitation for Regina will be from 8:30am to 10:30am Saturday, December 20, 2014, at ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am in Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery.
