In 1896, in Poland, "Michael" [Mieczyslaw/Max] Szperlinski, 25, son of Carolus [Charles] & Marianna Szperlinski, married Martha Krafft, daughter of Augustine and Marianna Krafft. (Poznan marriage Indexing Project)

According to the 1910 census record of South Bend, Indiana, Max and Martha Sperlinski had both been born in Poland, had been married fourteen years, and had immigrated in 1902.

The children of Max and Martha Sperlinski included (in birth order): Cecylia, Frances, Anna, John Sophia, and Hedwig (who died young). (Census records, St. Hedwig Catholic Church interment records)
