SOUTH BEND - Daniel J. Ginter, 85, passed away at 9:20 am, Sunday, June 10, 2012 in his residence. Daniel was born May 7, 1927 in South Bend to the late Joseph and Theresa (Kalka) Ginter. On June 14, 1952 in St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Daniel married Betty Irene (Biggs); she preceded him in death on June 7, 2011. Daniel is survived by daughters, Frances (Allen) Price and Carol Ginter both of South Bend; sons, Robert "Bob" (Marlene) Ginter of Milan, Michigan, Michael Ginter and Kenneth (Kimberly) Ginter all of South Bend; grandchildren, Ross, Kurt, Justin, Kelsey Ginter and Kathleen and Adam Price; and sisters, Dorothy (Frank) Kuzmicz, Marie, Barbara and Kathleen Ginter all of South Bend. Daniel honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II as a Military Policeman, and was a member of the VFW 9820. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. Daniel retired from the RACO Corporation in 1992 after 29 years of service. He enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles, softball and was an avid Chicago White Sox fan. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 14, 2012 in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Contribution may be made to the donor's choice.
