South Bend - Dorothy B. Kuzmicz, 93, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the Sanctuary of St. Paul’s. Dorothy was born March 10, 1925 in South Bend to the late Joseph and Theresa (Kalka) Ginter. On June 25, 1948, Dorothy married Frank Kuzmicz, he preceded her in death on December 10, 2016. Dorothy was also preceded in death by a brother, Daniel and sister, Marie. Surviving Dorothy are her children, Tim (Cindy) Kuzmicz of Frankfort, IN, Christine (Michael) Neises of South Bend, and Leonard (Carol) Kuzmicz of Walkerton; 10 grandchildren; Tim II (Toni), Christopher, Courtney (Matthew), Christen (Colton), Brian (Kristi), Lauren (Ben), Allison (Chris), Lisa (Jeremy), Benjamin (Jenna), and Matthew; 14 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Barbara Ginter and Kathy Ginter. Dorothy was a baker for the South Bend School Corp; retiring after more than 20 years. Dorothy was also a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary, Harvest House, Grandmother's Club, Golden Cluster and ZB Falcons. She enjoyed playing Bingo, baking with her granddaughters, crossword and word search puzzles. Most of all, she loved spending holidays and birthdays with her family. Dorothy’s family would like to thank the staff at Sanctuary of St. Paul’s for their loving care and attention during her stay. Visitation for Dorothy will take place 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, October 1, 2018 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Rosary to be prayed at 4:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church with visitation 1 hour prior to the Mass in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Services, 922 E. Colfax, South Bend, IN, 46617.
