MISHAWAKA - Diane S. Plajer, 70, passed away at 7:05pm Sunday, January 1, 2017 in St. Joseph Med Center. Diane was born on December 11, 1946 in South Bend to Michael and Barbara (Jones) Medich. She was a contract specialist with the U.S. Defense Department, a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox Church and its Circle of Serbian Sisters and Aleksa Shantich Choir. On August 2, 1975 in South Bend she married Joseph F. Plajer, Jr. who survives along with a daughter Natalie M. (Christian) Peterson of Houston, TX, a son Michael J. Plajer of Mishawka and 3 grandchildren Stella, Jordan, and Scarlett. Funeral services will be celebrated at 10:00am Friday, January 6, 2017 in Sts. Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox Church. Burial with military honors will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-8 Thursday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue where a prayer service will be recited at 7:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sts.
