Josephine Lucy Douthitt, 99 Years, passed away peacefully . Josephine was born April 18, 1922 in Elkhart to the late Michele and Sanita (Lembo) DeVito. On November 15th, 1947 Josephine married her loving husband Roy Douthitt, he passed away in 1994. Josephine was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Claudette Douthitt. Left to cherish the memory of Josephine are her children, Michael J. Douthitt and Nanci (Gary) Klaybor; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Anthony (Patricia) DeVito, Vincent DeVito, and Lucy Wilson. Josephine was a member of the Pilots Club for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, puzzles, crocheting, and working outside. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 17th, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Cathedral of St. Matthew with an hour visitation prior to the Mass. Burial will take place at St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery in Elkhart at a later date. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. is assisting the family.
