SOUTH BEND - Our Heavenly Father came for Jeanette L. Banasiewicz on Monday, December 5, 2016, in Hospice House of St. Joseph County. Jeanette was born December 17, 1939, in South Bend, to the late Matthew and Elsie (Stephens) Joachim. On December 29, 1956, Jeanette married Ronald Banasiewicz, who preceded her in death. Survivors of Jeanette include her children, Michael (Penny) Banasiewicz of Toronto, ON, Steve Banasiewicz of South Bend, Peggy Banasiewicz-Olmstead of St. Joseph, MI, and Cindy (Damien) Cruz of South Bend; brother, Robert (Janice) Joachim of South Bend; grandchildren, Jaime (Gary) Lee, Steven II and Brian Banasiewicz, Emilee and Abigail Cruz; step-grandchildren, Brandy Jessee and Timmy Welch; and five great-grandchildren. Jeanette enjoyed gardening, playing Bingo, watching Game Show Network and Golden Girls, Joyce Meyer, Joel Osteen and Billy Graham. She was an avid Notre Dame football and NASCAR fan. ST.
