Alexander Libera
Alexander Libera, 67, of 514 S. Edison Ave., died early this morning in his home following an extended illness. He was retired from Hawthorne Melody Milk Co. He was born on Jan. 1, 1916 in Poland, and lived in South Bend for 31 years after coming from Poland. On July 25, 1959, in Poland, he married Wanda Wojtczak, who survives, with a son Edward, of Milwaukee, Wis. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Daniel D. Peil, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local 364.
