MISHAWAKA - Thomas J. Lentine, 89, passed away on Saturday September 12, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center South Bend. Tom was born February 28, 1920, in Kincad, Illinois, as the son of the late Angelo and Katherine (Catalino) Lentine. He was also preceded in death by one son Joseph Lentine and four sisters Francis Popino, Anna Lentine and Baby Josephine Lentine, and Josephine Lentine, Mary Williams. Three brothers Walter, Henry and Santino Lentine, On July 1, 1939, in St. Bavo's Catholic Church Mishawaka Tom married the former Estelle Huys she survives along with one son, Thomas J. (Nancy) Lentine Jr. of Mishawaka. One daughter-in-law, Donna Lentine of South Bend. Six grandchildren, David and Thomas Lee Lentine, Debra Wassenhove, Joseph Brain Lentine, Ken Huys, Kim Hagler. Sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Tom was employed by the former Studebaker Corp. in South Bend and Dodge Manufacturing in Mishawaka for 19 years before retiring in 1982. Tom was a member of St. Bavo's Catholic Church and served as an Usher for 45 years and was a past president of the Usher Club. A Member of the BK Club, De Amici's Club, Eagles Arie 2083, past president of Good Fellows Club. Friend and Family may call form 3:00 - 7:00 pm on Tuesday September 15, where a Wake Prayer service will take place at 5:15 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday at 11:30 am in St. Bavo's Catholic Church with Rev. Barry England Officiating Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Osceola. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Bavo's Catholic Church 511 W. 7th St. Mishawaka, IN 46544.
