Feb.12, 1919 - March 9, 1991 SOUTH BEND - William M. Zakrzewski, 72, of 19430 Brick Road, died at 6:45 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. He retired in 1985 from RACO Inc., where he was employed 14 years as a machine operator. Born Feb. 12, 1919, in South Bend, he was a lifelong area resident. On June 1, 1946, in South Bend, he married Hildegarde Kaminski. She survives, with a daughter, Linda Zakrzewski of South Bend; a son David of South Bend; and four brothers, Walter of Shipshewana, Edward of Bristol, Eugene of South Bend and Stanley of New Carlisle. Mr. Zakrzewski was a member of South Bend Moose Lodge 58 and American Legion Pulaski Post 357. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, where Pulaski Post 357 will conduct graveside services. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Veterans Affairs Medical Center of Fort Wayne or to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
