SOUTH BEND - Julie Ann Mancuso, 58, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Julie was born April 12, 1959 in South Bend, IN, to the late Irvin and Geraldine (Jaronik) Swartz. Julie was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael J. Swartz. On April 23, 1988, in Holy Cross Catholic Church, Julie married the love of her life, Tony Mancuso. He survives along with her sisters, Kathleen (Michael) Plencner, Pamela (Daniel) Miller, and Lisa Swartz (Charles Howk); brothers, James Swartz, William (Kelly) Swartz, Jeffrey (Jill) Swartz, Scott (Stacey) Swartz, and Thomas (Kellie) Swartz; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews whom she adored, and who equally adored her. Julie was a graduate of the class of 1977 from LaSalle High School. She worked as an administrative assistant for St. Joseph County Government. Julie loved to vacation and camp with family and her many friends. She loved Notre Dame Football weekends, going to wineries, but most precious of all was time spent with her husband and family. Julie had an infectious smile that would just draw you in. She will be greatly missed for she left a mark on everyone. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., with a Rosary to be prayed at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in Holy Family Catholic Church, with visitation 1 hour prior at the funeral home. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 130 Red Coach Dr., Mishawaka, IN 46545.
