MISHAWAKA - Shirley L. Sobieralski, 73, of Diamond Drive, Mishawaka, passed away at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, following an illness. She was born in South Bend on December 24th, 1939, to Carol and Mary (Ham) Moss, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 23rd, 1959, in Roseland, Indiana, she married Walter C. Sobieralski. He died Dec. 7th, 1993. She is survived by three children, Scott (Chris) Sobieralski of North Webster, Indiana, Keith (Ruth) Sobieralski of Mishawaka and Robert Sobieralski of Chicago. Eight grandchildren: Melissa Sobieralski, Brittany Andersen, Keith Sobieralski Jr., Zakary Sobieralski, Alexis Sobieralski, Annabell Sobieralski, Michael and Josie. Two sisters: Barbara Jean (Richard) Carr and Mary Anne (Larry) Hegg, both of South Bend. Shirley was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church where she served on the Rosary Society. She was also a graduate of Mishawaka High School, class of 1958. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Mishawaka, on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Friends will be received from 4 until 8 pm on Monday at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka, and also one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Tuesday. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
