Robert G. Wozniak
Dec. 7, 1927 - June 7, 2011
SOUTH BEND - Robert Gene Wozniak, 83, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 in Memorial Hospital. Robert was born on December 7, 1927 in South Bend to the late Walter and Albina (Dembski) Wozniak. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Wanda (Zywert) Wozniak; two daughters, Christine (Joshua) Webb of Oxford, AL and Anita (Steve) Hosinski of South Bend; grandchildren, Sarah Hosinski, Megan Hosinski, Amy (BJ) McComb, Collin Ten Eyck, Hunter Webb, and Gabriele Webb; and great-granddaughter, Kiersten McComb. Robert was very proud of all his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them more than anything else. Robert worked for Bendix for 39 years. He was a parishioner at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a member of American Legion Post 357 and PNA. Robert honorably served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed boating, fishing, metal detecting, playing pool, biking, reading and doing crossword puzzles. He was a devoted, loving, wise, self-sacrificing, extremely patient, humble, Christian husband and father. He was very handy and could fix just about anything. He loved to spend time fishing with friends and lived a simple life, never concerned with material things. He had a deep faith in God, which continued throughout his life. We will always be thankful for his loving support, guidance and comfort. He will be dearly missed. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, June 12, 2011 in ST JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 pm.
