Carl Maxwell Schalliol, 75, of 61790 Beach Road, died at 11:21 a.m. Saturday in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital. He was a farmer and retired in 1982. He was born March 16, 1913 in Wakarusa.
On Dec. 12, 1948, in Osceola, he married Elvera L. Wordinger, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Marjorie Shultz of Ridgecrest, Calif., Sandra Griggs of Osceola, Judy Sheyko of Mishawaka and Jackie Barker of Clarksdale, Tenn.; a son David L. of Oakwood, Ga.; six grasndchildren; and two brothers, Earl D. and Wayne L. both of Mishawaka. A son, Kevin Carl and a daughter Joann preceded him in death.Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Lienhart's Funeral Chapel, Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery (Madison Township). Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Foundation of Memorial Hospital. Mr Schalliol was a member of the Farm Bureau, and he received a bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame. South Bend Tribune 7/10/1988
