NEW CARLISLE - Joyce C. Zielinski, 76, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away on January 26, 2009, in Pooler, GA. She was born on December 15, 1932, in South Bend, to the late Wilbur "Bill" and Elizabeth (Rink) Hutchinson. On October 3, 1953, she married Frank B. Zielinski, who preceded her in death on April 22, 2003. She was also preceded in death by a special niece, Judy Hagen. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Julie A. (Steve) Crick of South Bend and Janet L. (Brad) Overman of Savannah, GA; her son, Tom P. (Kimberly) Zielinski of North Liberty, IN; and her brother, Jerry Hutchinson. Joyce was also very close with her husband's brothers and their families. Mrs. Zielinski worked as a store manager at Watsons in New Carlisle for 27 years. She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Terre Coupee, where she was in the Rosary society and was a member of the Watson's collector's club. She loved to golf and was on an Elbel Golf League in South Bend. She was also an avid reader, and enjoyed playing cards at the New Carlisle Library and the Clay Township Senior Citizens Club. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 PM Friday, January 30, 2009, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 PM. Funeral services for Joyce will be held at 11 AM Saturday, January 31, 2009, in the funeral home, with entombment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to the New Carlisle Volunteer Fire Department, 204 E.
