SOUTH BEND - Frank J. Mezykowski, 92, died at 6:45 a.m. Friday in Healthwin Nursing Home. Survivors include his wife, Delphine (Klysz); a daughter, Madeline Marosz of Edwardsburg; a son, William of South Bend; and a brother, Casimer of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Cross Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a rosary will be said at 3 p.m.

Frank J. Mezykowski, 92, of South Bend, passed away at 6:45 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2006, in Healthwin Nursing Home.

Frank was born on October 8, 1914, in South Bend, to William and Theophilia (Brodzinski) Mezykowski. His parents have preceded him in death as well as sisters, Francis Huffard, and Bernice Ewald; and brothers, John and Alex.

On May 16, 1936, Frank married Delphine (Klysz). She survives along with their children, Madeline (Tom) Marosz, of Edwardsburg, Mich., and William, of South Bend; grandchildren, Jeff Marosz, Dallas, TX and Jenny (Bob) Pinkowski, of Granger; great-grandson, Zachary Pinkowski; and brother, Casimer Mezykowski, of South Bend.

Frank retired from Bendix after 37 years and from the South Bend Municipal Parking Garage after 10 years. He was a parishioner at Holy Cross Catholic Church for 65 years. He belonged to the VFW 8748, Bendix Local #9, and was an avid Euchre player. Frank was a person who enjoyed life.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 6, 2006, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed at 3:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
