Donna Jean Zakrowski Bailey, 50, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010, in her home after an illness. Donna was born August 31, 1959, to Donald Riffel and Lucille (Anson) Kramer. On May 8, 2004, Donna married Jackie Bailey who survives. Also surviving are her children, Casey (Sabrina) Zakrowski of New Carlisle, Indiana, Carley (Andrew) Zakrowski of LaPorte, Indiana, Elizabeth (Robert) Robb of New Carlisle, Indiana; her mother, Lucille Kramer of Niles, Michigan; step children, Justin, Tyson, Travis, and Tanner Bailey; grandchildren; Anastasia, Gregory, Grant, Riley, Donald, Ben; four step grandchildren; sisters, Lori (Mike) Bailey of Niles, Michigan, Marlye Folkers of Shelbyville, Indiana , Shelly (Jerry) Stevens of Kernersville, North Carolina; a brother, Andrew (Sheila) Riffel of Niles, Michigan; father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Julia Forrester of South Bend, Indiana; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Macey Kay and the late Ben. Donna was preceded in death by her father, and a granddaughter, Gracie. Donna, also known as Grams or Grandma Bailey enjoyed her grandchildren, the outdoors, gardening, arts & crafts, the Beatles, and traveling the countryside. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert Street, New Carlisle, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family members.
