Joseph [Jozef] F. Lewandowski, 65, of 702 S. Meade St., died at 9:12am Sunday in Osteopathic Hospital after an illness of three weeks. He was a retired Studebaker Corp employee.
Born on January 29, 1901, in Poland, he came here 63 years ago. He is survived by four brothers, Frank, Walter, Zygmund and Alex and two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Buskiewicz and Mrs Veronica Rybicki, all of South Bend.
Friends may call after 7pm today in the St Joseph Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30pm Wednesday by Rev. John Moskal, pastor of St Adalbert's Catholic Church. Services will be at 10am Thursday in the church with Father Moskal officiating. Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery. Mr. Lewandowski was a member of Studebaker Local 9.
