SOUTH BEND - Theodore J. Piechocki, 84, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2009, at 6:37 p.m. in Memorial Hospital. Theodore was born on December 13, 1924, in St. Joseph County, to the late John and Mary (Wroblewski) Piechocki. On June 5, 1948, he married Lorraine (Bentkowski) Piechocki, who preceded him in death on October 10, 2007. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bert, Clem and Louis; and by seven sisters, Josephine Piechocki, Gladys Snook, Gertrude Parker, Sally Daszyski, Mary Lafferty, Virginia Olson and Clara Szymanowski; and by a grandson, Damon Biggs. He is survived by his six children, Dennis (Rachel) Piechocki of Merrillville, IN, Debbie (John) Goodrich of North Pole, FL, Pam (Darryl) Biggs of North Liberty, IN, Mike Piechocki of South Bend, Dale (Susie) Piechocki of South Bend and Minnie (Tom) Nelson of Highland, IN; nine grandchildren, Todd Piechocki, Johnny and Rob Goodrich, David and Darren Biggs, Kristi Fisher, Staci Piechocki and Kyle Nelson; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Irene Lamineck of Chicago, IL; and by his brother, Bernard of Mishawaka. Theodore served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Eagles and of the UAW. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, is assisting the family. A graveside service will be on Friday, October 2, 2009, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's National Church Clergy Pension Fund, 159 N.
