Mrs. Stella Sikorska: (South Bend Tribune 9/5/1939)
Mrs. Stella Sikorska, aged 74, of 1538 West Fisher street, died at 2:55 a.m. today in her home after an illness of one year. She was born in Poland, March 24, 1865, and came to South Bend from that country 39 years ago. Surviving are two sons, Stephen and Frank Sikorski; two daughters, Mrs. Anastasia Jurgonska and Mrs. Regina Nowacka; 15 grandchildren, and one great grandchild, all of South Bend. Friends will be received in the home. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Casimir’s Roman Catholic church with Rev. Stanislaus J. Gorka, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Polish cemetery. Mrs. Sikorska was a member of the Women’s Holy Rosary and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament sodalities.
