Haroldene June Koepke age 101 of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at 5:20 pm at Memorial Hospital. She was born to the late Harold E. and Bessie (Royer) Sigerfoos on February 5, 1921, in East St. Louis, Illinois. She married her school sweetheart, Robert “Bob” Edmond Koepke, on January 31, 1942, in Shipshewana, Indiana. He preceded her in death on December 8, 2003. Haroldene was kind, loving, always smiling, never complaining, a treasure in our family. Her caregivers, nurses and doctors all stated what a pleasure it was to care for her. She was a lifelong Cubs Fan and loved visiting the Potawatomi Zoo. The Red Pandas were her favorite and she was able to see the giraffes in September. She loved panda bears and yellow roses. She was the oldest member of the Vineyard Church in Mishawaka. She was a former member of VFW Axillary, VFW #360, and Morris Park Country Club. She is survived by her daughter Debbie J. Mroczek; two grandsons, Kraig Archibald and Eric (Michele) Mrozcek; two great grandsons, Ehren and Liam; and a great granddaughter, Jesi; one great-great granddaughter, Cymantha; and two great-great grandsons, Brandon and Bryan. Haroldene is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Edmond Koepke; her daughters Pamela M. Ragsdale and Linda S. Archibald; brother Larry E. Sigerfoos; and two grandchildren, Sheryl Huffman, and Curt Jones. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Palmer Funeral Home ~ River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN, with visitation starting at 1:00 pm. Pastor Mark Pope, of the Vinyard Church, will officiate. A private burial will be held at a later date at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to Potawatomi Zoo, 500 S. Greenlawn Ave., South Bend, IN 46615.
