SOUTH BEND - Julie Ann Berta, 72, of South Bend, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018, in Memorial Hospital. Julie was born April 28, 1945, in South Bend, to the late Laura Belle (Maggert) and Charles David Veach. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Berta in November of 2011. Julie is survived by her daughters, Lori L. (Mike) Farinella of Niles, MI and Jill (Bill) Canton of Galien, MI; four grandchildren, Joshua Miller, Mika Farinella, Taylor Farinella, and Brad Canton; two step-grandchildren, Danielle and Maggie Konstantine; one great-granddaughter, Leelah Miller; and brother, C. Joel (Nancy) Veach of South Bend. Julie was a 1963 graduate of John Adams High School, and co-owner of AA Maintenance. Funeral Services will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 29, at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, with Rev. Diana Thompson officiating. Private burial will be held Monday at Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Granger. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Wildlife Federation, 11100 Wildlife Center Drive, Reston, VA 20190; or Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
