Donald G. Misch , 74, of Kern Road, Mishawaka, passed away at 4:52 p.m. Monday, April 11, at Southfield Village, South Bend. Donald was born on April 19, 1930, in Oak Park, IL, to Walter and Amanda (Malak) Misch . His parents preceded him in death. On Feb. 20, 1954, in Bad Axe, MI, he married the former Beverly A. Garrow. He is survived by his wife, Beverly; three daughters, Bonnie (Alan) Weade of Mishawaka, Debbie (Mark) Pellowski of Stoddard, WI, and Valerie Rudi of St. Joseph, MI; four grandchildren, Brenda and Randy Weade, and Mark and Matthew Rudi; a sister, Joan (Fred) Konrath of Kingwood, TX; and a brother, Walter (Doris) Misch of Cassopolis, MI. Donald was a lifelong area resident. He attended IUSB for two years for business management, and was co-owner of Misch Manufacturing until he retired in 1999. He was a United States Air Force veteran, serving his country during the Korean War. He was a member of East United Methodist Church where he was an usher and served on the finance committee, was a Masonic Lodge 50-year member, and an amateur ham radio operator, his call sign was W9NNC. Donald enjoyed golfing and was a Chicago Cubs baseball fan.
Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, April 14th, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 15th, in East United Methodist Church, Mishawaka, with Rev Michael Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
