SOUTH BEND - Bettye J. Micinski, age 91, died on Thursday, January 21, 2016 in South Bend, Indiana. She was born on August 24, 1924 to Roy M. Barnes and Estelle (Waggoner) Barnes in Chattanooga, Tennessee. On May 16, 1946 she married Ervin Micinski at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Tennessee. They were blessed with three daughters, Janice (Carl) Bennett of South Bend, Indiana, Deborah (Kirk) Fuller of Mishawaka, Indiana and an infant daughter, Martha Louise Micinski, who preceded her in death. Bettye was also preceded in death by her husband, Ervin and her brother, Milton Barnes. She had one grandchild, Angela (Anthony) Regulinski and three great-grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan and Megan Regulinski of whom she was very proud. She is also survived by her two sisters-in-law, Lucy Barnes and Patricia Kosinski; and her brother-in-law, Winfield “Mac” MacDonald. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Wives Council #553 and Holy Cross Altar and Rosary Society. A visitation will take place from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in Holy Cross Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Holy Cross Church. The family of Bettye Micinski would like to thank the staff at Healthwin Specialized Care for the wonderful, loving care they gave Bettye. Published in South Bend Tribune on Jan. 24, 2016
