South Bend - Patricia A. (Block) Heynssens, 79, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 surrounded by family after an extended illness. Patricia was born in Michigan City to the late Edward and Bernice (Dreyer) Block. Patricia was also preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Block. On June 18, 1955 in St. Mary’s Church Michigan City Patricia married her loving husband George Heynssens, he survives along with their daughters, Michelle Heynssens- Miller of South Bend, Pamela Fischer of South Bend, and Sheryl Howard of Mason, MI; 8 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; and brother, Thomas (Marilyn) Block. Patricia was employed with the South Bend School Corporation for 24 years; she worked at both Lydick and Warren Schools. Patricia was very active with her daughters in Brownie’s and 4H. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and family out west. Visitation for Patricia will be 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, November 13, 2015 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 14, 2015 in the Funeral Home.
