Kenneth Edward Kozinski, 83, residing in South Bend, passed away Monday evening, August 30, 2021 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife of 60 years and his son James. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 31, 1937 and always loved having his birthday on Halloween (a year didn’t go by that he didn’t wear a costume on his birthday!). Kenneth was united in marriage to Mary Lucille Buchanan on June 17, 1961 in Royal Oak, Michigan. Mr. Kozinski was employed as a Purchasing Warehouse Manager with AT&T for 35 years. He and Mary Lou lived in Arizona for many years, and while there, he was the owner of K2 Squared Courier Service in Phoenix. Following retirement in 2004 they moved to South Bend, Indiana. He is survived by the love of his life, Mary Lucille Kozinski (60 years), along with his six children: Joseph (Sabrina) Kozinski of Buford, SC; Janet (Charles) Davidson of Waxahachie, TX; Jean Shreve of South Bend, IN; James Kozinski of Shelbyville, IN; John (Angela) Kozinski of West Chester, PA; and Jeffrey (Aimee) Kozinski of Edwardsburg, MI. Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren (two more due in November). Brother-in-law Carl Otten of Morrison, MO; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins who were very dear to him. Kenneth was preceded in death by his dear sister, Deann Otten. Kenneth proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in South Bend, and the Telephone Pioneers of America. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 6th at Christ the King Catholic Church in South Bend, IN, where military honors will follow. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, MI on Friday, September 10th, 2021. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 5, 2021, from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at the Palmer Guisinger Funeral Home 3718 S. Michigan St, South Bend, IN 46614.
