July 22, 1929 - July 23, 2009 SOUTH BEND - Rosemarie C. Buszkiewicz, 80, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 3 pm in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Rosemarie was born on July 22, 1929, in South Bend. She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Bykowski, and step-mother, Edith (Nelson) Bykowski. On June 17, 1950 she married Leonard E. Buszkiewicz, he survives along with their sons, Len Buszkiewicz of South Bend and Jeffrey (Carol) Buszkiewicz of Bloomington, IN; grandsons, David (Kelly) Buszkiewicz of Louisville, KY and Daniel (Kyle) O'Donnell, M.D. of Indianapolis; great-grandchildren, Thomas and Katey Rose Buszkiewicz of Louisville; sister, Edith (Jack) Dayock of Tarpon Springs, FL and by her brothers, Peter (Donna) Bykowski of Palatine, NJ and Joseph Bykowski of South Bend. Rosemarie was a secretary for Parkview Juvenile Center for 181/2 years before retiring in 1991. She was a parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church and a member of Delta Theta Chi. Visitation will be Sunday, July 26, 2009 from 2 to 8 p.m. in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 10 am in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Garden Mausoleum, St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will also be from 9 am to 9:30 am in the funeral home prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, family has requested that memorial contributions be made to St. Adalbert Catholic Church, 2505 W. Grace St., South Bend, IN 46619.
